Welcome to the ACE homepage.  ACE is an interactive fiction writing utility developed over the last 8 years by Andrew Clark, in response to our pleas for 'something easy to use'

You may download a brief manual, an example game and some start pages in a zip file by clicking on this link.

You can download numerous games already written in ace by going to the downloads page and helping yourself.  All the game files are zipped for ease of download, and you will need to create a folder to contain the files you will unzip.

Playing the games is simple.  Locate the WinAce.exe file and open it.  Use the file button to navigate to the relevant folder for the game file named***.agd, open it, and away you go!

Have fun and enjoy the games that the authors have made freely available.  Some of them have been used at the Megapoints competition held once a year at the Adventurer's Convention.  More information about that can be found here.
